Have you tried using a double ended crochet hook yet? The hooks are the same size and you use two separate balls of yarn. This allows you to change colors on every row without cutting off at each color change. I’m this case, I used the beautiful self striping of Red Heart Yarns Unforgettable and I’ve paired it Red Heart Yarns With Love to give the project more body. It’s a great project and easy to learn with the free online video so you can follow along with the written pattern.
