Evoking the town of Dunvegan on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, the Dunvegan tam (or beret) reflects the natural colours of a northern vista, matching beach and marsh.

Worked in the round with the Fair Isle technique of two colours per round, it uses a handpainted yarn with colour variations that play across the fabric.
