This pattern is knitted top down creating a seamless style. The collar area dip is formed with short rows. A 24-inch circular needle may be used in place of the dpns with the magic loop style knitting.

The colorwork is 100% duplicate stitch.
This means you’ll be knitting the sweater plain and adding in the colorwork with a rounded tip needle. If you are unfamiliar with duplicate stitch you can watch my little video https://youtu.be/qfFDSdnnTlQ or for a more in depth dive, Purl Soho has a great tutorial: https://www.purlsoho.com/create/duplicate-stitch/
To keep things going (and not get bored) I would add in a row of tigers after I had enough rounds knitted.

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4 inch/10 cm in St st on larger needles.
