There is a moor in my hometown in Brittany where there used to be a lead mine. I’ve always loved to go for a walk there when the sun goes down and all the lines of the landscape start to blur and blend together in the last beautiful lights of the day. This shawl is inspired by this magic time when we start to remember the ancient stories of spirits and creatures living on the moor at night and tricking the lost traveller.

Dusk on the Moor is a half-pi shawl knitted flat from the centre to the edges on a long circular needle. It alternates portions of stockinette stitch and a simple lace pattern worked in garter stitch.

Knitted in a soft and airy merino-silk fingering yarn, it’s the perfect shawl to wear all summer on your shoulders over a pretty white dress.

Dans le village où j’ai grandi en Bretagne se trouve une lande à l’endroit où il y avait auparavant une mine de plomb. J’ai toujours aimé m’y promener à la tombée de la nuit quand toutes les lignes du paysage commencent à se confondre et se mélanger dans les dernières belles lueurs du jour. Ce châle est inspiré par ce moment magique quand on commence à se souvenir des histoires anciennes d’esprits et de créatures vivant sur la lande la nuit et piégeant les voyageurs perdus.

Dusk on the Moor est un châle de forme semi-circulaire tricoté à plat du centre vers les côtés sur une longue aiguille circulaire. It alterne des portions de jersey et d’un simple motif dentelle tricoté en point mousse.

Tricoté dans une laine fingering, mélange de mérino et soie très doux et aérien, c’est un châle parfait à porter tout l’été sur vos épaules avec une jolie robe blanche.
