The stitch pattern for these socks was a happy accident! I brought the swatch to my Saturday morning knitting group and was knitting away while talking. And, yes, you guessed it; I wasn’t paying attention. I completely misread the chart I had drawn up. When I went back to look at my swatch, though, I loved it! The chart that had seemed a little too boring had turned into a more unusual pattern with added interest and motion. Thank you, Saturday Morning Ladies, for distracting me!

When I returned home, I set about to recreate my mistake, and these socks were born! I hope you enjoy them.
