This scarf was inspired by Valentine’s Day. I wanted to create a beautiful scarf, which would be suitable for both sexes. This stitch pattern looks like intertwined hearts and rings and is very suitable for the occasion. The stitch pattern looks subtle, yet royal. It looks pretty on the reverse side as well.
The sample shown is knitted for my husband, thus I chose a gray color. If you’d like to make this scarf for a female, just change the color of the yarn and you’ll have a feminine scarf.

MATERIALS
The sample shown was knitted in sport weight yarn.
Approx. 480yrds (3 skeins) for a shorter version.
Approx 650 yrds (1.5) for a scarf with the border.

The yarn may be substituted for a bulkier effect. Substituting yarns may result in a different finished size and may also affect yardage required. For best results use a natural fiber.

GAUGE 18 sts X 24 rows = 4 inch square in blocked Stockinette Stitch.
Note: gauge is not very important for this pattern, however it will affect the final size of the piece.

NEEDLES
US #3 (3.25 mm) You may substitute the size in order to obtain gauge
