I couldn’t find a pattern for a reusable bag that was both stretchy and knitted (yeah, I’ve crocheted a few, but I really like the knitting more), so I fiddled one together. Although the stitch pattern knits up on a bias, the pattern shows how to keep the bag generally rectangular, and the contrast edging and handle finish it all off with a nice edge. Like most string bags this holds a lot more than you think it will, and stretches a lot with wear. Make sure to use a sturdy fiber, like cotton, or you’ll have a full sized laundry bag on your hands.

Thanks for your patience waiting for me to get this pattern up! Let me know if there are any troubles with the downloading or the pattern--and let me see when you’ve knit up a bag!
