Do you love surprises? The 2024 Woolenberry Shawl Club is open!

The 2024 Shawl Club invites you to embark on a creative journey through the four elements: Earth, Air, Water and Fire. Join us in diving into discovery and inspiration drawn from the natural world.

The 2024 Shawl Club is a collection of four shawl patterns, each released one by one in March, June, September and December.

These shawls, embodying the essence of the elements, are exclusive to the 2024 Shawl Club and not available individually.

You can join the 2024 Shawl Club by purchasing the collection here.

The price includes all 4 shawl patterns, and it’s a one-time purchase.

By joining now, you receive the first pattern, Earthsong, immediately after purchase. Then, as a Shawl Club member, I’ll surprise you with three more shawls during the year. You’ll get an email with a download link as soon as each new Shawl Club pattern goes live.

This pattern is available exclusively in the 2024 Woolenberry Shawl Club.

Earthsong shawl is inspired by one of the four natural elements: Earth. The repetitive rhythm of the pattern invites you to connect with the rooting and nurturing energy of the Earth.

The Earth element reminds us to stay grounded and present, to trust in the cyclical nature of life and ourselves, to lean into the season of life that we’re currently in, and to find strength and resilience in who we are.

Earthsong is a crescent-shaped one-skein shawl with garter stitch, beautiful yet simple chevron lace, and an i-cord bind-off.

As you knit Earthsong, allow yourself to get grounded, stay present, and feel a deep connection with the natural world, knowing you are supported.

YARN
One skein of DyeForYarn Merino/Silk Fingering (75% merino, 25% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour I Know What Happened To The Olive.
Or approximately 360 m / 395 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to achieve pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

Gauge affects the finished size and the amount of yarn needed.

FINISHED SIZE After blocking
Width: 165 cm / 65 in
Depth: 54 cm / 21 in

You can easily make your shawl bigger if you have more yarn. Instructions are included in the pattern.

STITCHES USED
k: knit
kfb: knit to front and back loop of the same stitch
k2tog: knit two stitches together
sl2k1psso: slip two stitches at once knitwise, knit one, pass the slipped stitches over
ssk: slip, slip, knit; slip one stitch knitwise, slip another stitch knitwise, knit the two slipped stitches together through back loops
yo: yarn over
