The East Coast Throw Blanket is a fairly quick knit using super bulky yarn. The finishing happens while you knit—no need to pick up stitches or knit a separate band to sew on. The design was inspired by my wanting to give handknit Christmas gifts to my family in New Brunswick, on the East Coast of Canada, where it can get pretty cold in the winter! I wanted something thick and cosy, yet elegant and versatile. The gorgeous stitch pattern is from Lovely Stitches Volume 2: 35 Lace Cables by Annie Maloney. It’s a very satisfying project to have on the needles!
