East of the River Wrap

This project was born from the idea of blending three scrumptious colors into a rectangular wrap, knit on the diagonal. It incorporates my special selvage edges, along with bits of interest at each edge. This cotton/acrylic blend yarn is very appealing in how it both looks and feels, an ideal choice for all seasons. It’s wide enough to wrap and close with a shawl pin, and narrow enough to wear as a wide scarf. It’s available in eight colors and we had a lot of fun mixing and matching colors to suggest many color palettes.
The wrap is approximately 13” wide x 80” long and the gauge is 4 sts. /in.
Thank you to Darielle for modeling! Thank you to Barbara and Andrea for test knitting!

Materials
3 skeins (one each of three colors) Nako, Calico Jakar, dk weight yarn. 50% cotton/50% acrylic blend. Approximately 250 yards per skein.
Size 7 needles in any comfortable length.

Note: Although I loved working with this yarn, any dk weight yarn will work with the design.
It may be made wider by increasing the stitch count 4-5 sts/each inch. You will need to purchase more yarn.
Have fun with it!
