I designed these fingerless mitts specifically to show off this beautiful handpainted yarn, though I think the pattern would also work wonderfully with a solid color yarn. I also wanted a pair with an interesting design on the back of the hand, yet fit snugly around the cuff and was comfortable to wear for everyday use. And a quick knit too!

The name comes from the traveling rib pattern appearing to move to the right up your wrist, and the slipped stitch eyelet pattern moving up and to the left on your hand.
