This cardigan has a round yoke and is worked flat from the neck down to the armhole area. At that point the sleeves are put onto waste yarn or holders to be worked after the rest of the sweater is complete. The body is also worked flat. When the sleeve stitches are picked up, they are worked in the round.

The hat is worked in the round from the top to the brim.

The pattern is a simple one with only 3 buttonholes on the yoke.
