This is an easy knit, suitable for experienced beginners.
This one size set will fit an average adult and is worked in fingering or sock yarn.
Each piece is perfect for using up your left over yarn from shawls and socks!
The best yarn to get perfect tension gauge will be approx 400m/100g.
You will need 35 grams for the beret and just a little less than 35 grams for the handwarmers. Or about 70 grams / 2 1/2 oz for the set.

These are both worked totally in the round, no picking up sts. You can use magic loop technique for most of it. Double point needles are recommended only for the very top of the beret, going into the point.

The pattern PDF has 3 pages : colour cover and 2 black/white text with colour photos of garment on mannequin. Metric and Imperial measurements.

PDF had been updated on Jan 15 2022 to correct an error on thumb gusset of handwarmers:
Continue to increase 2 sts on alternate rounds as set, 10 (not 11) more times. There are 27 sts for thumb gusset and 82 sts (not 84 sts) in total.
