Summer is the time for quick, easy knits. This lovely little headband can be completed in a few hours and is the perfect touch for holding hair back on warm days.

There is a touch of lace to keep it cool, and a cabled edge for added flair. A provisional cast on is recommended to avoid having a front and back, but if this goes beyond your idea of a ‘simple’ project, feel free to use a traditional cast on and bind off and seam together to finish off.

The headband is one size fits all, but can be made to fit a young child by substituting a DK weight yarn and size 5 needles.

One skein of Mandalay will make 2 headbands if there is no waste. I have 6 skeins in my stash that are up for a good price. Take a look!
