This is a very easy cable pattern that I use in my knitting classes. I started teaching the hat and then decided to add the cowl and the mitts to make a complete set. The rusty red color in the pictures is the Malabrigo and the lime green is Galway. I only had the one skein of Malabrigo, so matched the green with the little flecks of green in the skein. It took almost all of the Malabrigo and most of the Galway. Usually I use one color for the mitts, but since I didn’t have enough to make two mitts, I knitted the ribbing in the green. Feel free to knit the mitts in one color.
