Crocus lace dress is a sleeveless dress with a square neckline, simple bodice, high waistline shaped with simple cables and A shape skirt with picot hem. Duplicate stitch may be added.

This is a perfect pattern for an advanced beginner who would like to learn some new skills with a very easy lace pattern, and simple cables. The armholes have minimal shaping. And simple neckline finish. Just 2 shoulder seams, and sewing hem. Also learn duplicate stitch if desired. More experienced knitters may enjoy knitting this as well.

The pattern has helpful tips and embedded videos.

Size 2y, 3y, 4y.

Yarn substitutions should be similar composition. Wool gives a different result. Gauge may vary over the flower.

Needles: size 2 -16”. and 3-24”. markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, locking stitch markers. Straight sewing pins (opt).

EDIT: Acrylic, in general, does not block real well and in the yarn used is machine washed and dried and flower should measure about the same before and after washing. I do not recommend a natural fiber for best results, but If a natural fiber is used, it will need to be blocked. The flower should measure between 1 1/2”-1 3/4”. The lace portion of the skirt, from the beginning of first flower to top of last row of flowers should measure about 8 (10”, 12). Total rows of flowers 5 (6, 7).

EDIT: if you downloaded any revisions before January 14, the final revision is now available. I apologize for any inconvenience.
