This pattern is perfect for first-time knitters. It can be worked in garter stitch as a first project or Stockinette stitch once purling has been mastered. The edge eyelets are great for teaching increasing with yarnovers, and a center eyelet spine and/or top eyelet row are options for using yarnovers decoratively with decreases to leave stitch count unaltered. Because this is knit from the bottom point up, it’s a great go-to pattern when unsure how far a particular yarn is going to go.
