Suitable project for a Beginner.

Pattern uses both knits and purls. Every other row is all knit, with alternate rows having knits at the borders and purls across the center.

Gloves are worked flat until long enough to fit the hand circumference, and then the cast on and bind off edges are sewn together, leaving a gap for the thumb.
