An easy and simple men’s knit hat for the cold weather. A folded brim (2X2 Rib) is suggested and included in the pattern for extra warmth around the ears.

Can also be worn without folding brim and you will have about an inch of slouch @ top - which also looks trendy.

I experimented with different gauges & yarn until I came up with this pattern for an average man’s size.

This pattern uses standard US terminology.

You can easily adjust the CO #of stitches accordingly to fit a teenager/woman’s size.

I used “I Love This Yarn-Super Soft” in a color transitioning print which gives the illusion that it has yarns of different colors forming a striped effect.

Choose your favorite color combinations to make your unique hat.

Please check your gauge when you work this project - use any size needle to match the gauge.

I made this hat for my head measurement (23in. or 58cm circumference avg. men’s size) and it fit comfortably without being too snug with the folded brim.

Finished Size:

Height: 8.5” or 21.6cm(from top to bottom edge)
Brim (unstretched): 14” or 35.6cm
Hat (unstretched at its widest): 20” or 50.8cm

This is same yarn I used in my other scarf pattern Crochet Unisex Scarf. click here

Thank you for choosing this pattern.

Please note that the size is approximate and will be affected by the gauge, yarn used and your needle size.
