This is a listing for a pattern for a very “long wingspan” crescent shaped shawl. The upper section is a fun and easy lace stitch. The bottom is enhanced by a lovely lace edging that adds a wonderfully feminine finish to this piece. The shawlette measures 68 inches at the widest points across the top and is 24 inches deep at the deepest point. It is made with with Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn in two colors. Of course, you can make it more muted colors, or even a single color, is that suits you best. The edging was added in the traditional Shetland manner and is not difficult to do.

I think you’ll have fun both making and wearing this shawl, in one or more of the several ways that it can be worn.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).
