This is a beautiful but easy-to-knit shrug. It is knit flat from cuff to cuff. The edging is knit in the round after the arms have been seemed.

The shrug is one size fits most.

Stitch gauge is important, but row gauge is not.

I used a 32” circular size 6 (4mm) needle.

Any DK yarn will work beautifully, although I used Brenda Harrower’s hand-dyed cotton yarn. She can be reached on Ravelry as Nosewiggle and on Etsy as Woodenspinner.

The half-length sleeve will take about 750 yards; the three-quarters length sleeve will take about 1000. The half-length is shown in the picture.
