EASY STANDARD GAUGE SCRUBBING SOCK
This design is for any standard gauge machine. It will work on a Superba and it will work on vintage machines that lack patterning because we do the weaving by hand. It is not for Passaps because they cannot weave in the same manner as the other machines mentioned. This sock has no grippers, zippers, fitting or shaping. It stays on the mop using the little poke-in sockets that Swiffer provides to hold disposable cloths. For this reason, it’s really only suitable for standard gauge machines. While a similar design could certainly be made on other gauges, the fabric is usually too heavy to be anchored well using this simple method. A design with more elaborate fitting is offered next for other gauges. This textured Swiffer sock works well on floors that have a non-slip texture such as the one shown. Such floors are wonderful anti-slip and anti-fatigue surfaces but can be hard to wet mop effectively. The texture of the Scrubby yarn is a great help in doing the job.
