This is one of those indispensable patterns and useful wardrobe additions for those chilly winter nights indoors - perfect to keep your shoulders warm and your hands free while working on your project or reading. Goes great as a casual shrug to pair with jeans and a tank top.

This knits up a mile a minute with large needles and super bulky 50% wool content blended yarn and is crafted starting at one cuff and knitting in one piece all the way across finishing with the other cuff. You’ll also need size 11 / 36” long circular needle for the edging. The arm length and deep rib cuffs will cover your wrists too, almost like fingerless gloves. But if you like your sleeves shorter, just reduce the total length by 2 inches or so.

This now has a sister version!
I recently added an updated (and I think) improved version of this very popular pattern.
The new one has more tailored sleeves, a different rib edging (1x1 vs 2x2 rib in this one) and is knit on slightly larger needles for a softer drape.
