Every few months it happens - the covering of the sun with the moon. When the eclipse happens, the world and the wash of light as we know it changes. Ecliptic gives us a different view of a sun smothered with a bit of darkness. Worked from the top down the rays are tamed in a more triangular shape that envelops you day or night.
