Edera Shawl
Edera Shawl is narrow triangle shawl / scarf worked sideways with leaf and cables pattern.
Great last minute gift option or stash busting (Mini and Small)
The Shawl designed for Fingering and DK yarn, easily customizable.
The pattern instructions are given for 3 sizes as customization instructions as well.
Finished Measurements
Mini in fingering yarn: 34” (85 cm) wingspan and 6” (15 cm) deep, relaxed after blocking.
Small in fingering yarn: 40” (100 cm) wingspan and 8” (20 cm) deep, relaxed after blocking.
Large in DK yarn: 72” (180 cm) wingspan and 12” (30 cm) deep, relaxed after blocking.
Yarn
Mini (Small): 160 (220) yds / 144 (200) m of Knit Picks Capretta (80% Merino, 10% Cashmere goat, 10% Nylon; 230 yds / 50 gr) in Adriatic Heather colorway
or any other Fingering weight yarn.
Large: 480 yds / 430 m of Knit Picks Swish DK (100% Merino; 123 yds / 50 gr)
or any other DK weight yarn.
Needles
For fingering yarn: US 4 (3.5 mm) 24” or longer circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.
For DK yarn: US 7 (4.5 mm) 24” or longer circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge
For fingering yarn: 32 sts and 32 rows = 4” in Cable pattern lightly blocked.
For DK yarn: 24 sts and 24 rows = 4” in Cable pattern lightly blocked.
Gauge is not important for this project but it affects finished size and amount of yarn needed.
