Edward is a simple man, one that desires nothing more then a simple life.

During the design stage I couldn’t get the idea of Edward wearing a tartan out of my head and I finally gave in to the image. This is my attempt to mimic the complexly beautiful tartans of the Highlands and yet stay true to Edwards simple taste.

The over stitches (CC3) is accomplished by duplicate stitching. For information on how to “knit” this please go to: http://www.purlbee.com/duplicate-stitch-tutorial/

Page 3 has the chart for the double stitch portion - but feel free to change things around!

I have listed below how I divided up the contrasting colors. Perhaps you would like to mix things up a bit, maybe the Stockinette Stripe Pattern 1 continues for 7” before switching to the garter stitch patch and the second Stockinette Stripe Pattern is only 2” before continuing with the top edging. Let your imagination flow, don’t be tied down to my idea, have fun with it!
