This pattern was created in response to the tragic mass shooting in Orlando. I am making this an always free pattern and including some links within it. These links go to the Human Rights Campaign, a link to the LGBT Centers page and for the GoFundMe page for the Orlando tragedy. These links are wonderful resources and I would ask that you make a small donation in lieu of pattern payment. The rainbow is an important symbol of the LGBT community because it is reflects the variety of the community and the wondrous people that create it. This hat uses rainbow colors with a base and top of white with white speckled throughout. It received its name because the white flecks look both like hearts and the bubbles in pop. Also because effervescent means vivacious and enthusiastic, a great reflection of the community itself. Even though the GoFundMe page has a lot of donations remember that this is going to families that unexpectedly lost loved ones that, most likely, had no end of life plans in place. These funds are going to families to pay for medical bills for those recovering. These funds are going towards therapy for survivors and the families of victims and therapy is never a quick process. The other links are to help back organizations that are there to help, give those lost and unsure a place where they aren’t alone. To back rights that others would deny anyone with an alternative lifestyle. Help by donating to keep these organizations in place.
