11" (thinner wool/smaller needles would make it smaller

This pattern is available for free.

the egg is knitted in one piece
short rows produce a rounded yolk
then working round for the white
increasing 6 times in each circle (row)

I used less than 50g double knitting wool in total
and size 4mm needles

the whole thing is about 11” across
the yolk 3”
bigger than expected ; but more impressive

using smaller needles and thinner wool will give a smaller egg
