This pattern has been exclusively designed for the Sock Madness 2016 competition. Therefore, it was available only via e-mail for knitters competing in the game. The download for the public may follow later on.

Thanks to the great moderators, who are keeping this game alive for 10 years meanwhile.

I love frost, wind and snow. I love the beautiful pictures painted by frost flowers on window panes, glistening snow and clear air.

One of my favorite weather phenomenons in winter is freezing rain, „Eisregen“ in my language.

The look of the textured pattern is inspired by frozen raindrops, the resulting fabric is stretchy and fits a variety of foot circumferences. By scaling up or down Your needle sizes You can further adjust the fit.

It can be knit from a fingering weight sock yarn of your choice. Because of the texture this is a yarn consuming pattern.
