Ekaterin Slouch Hat
Ekaterin is a slouch hat worked in one piece in the round from the bottom up. Cabled earflaps are created using short rows, combining style and practicality. The cables are small enough to be worked without a cable needle.
Yarn: You will need approximately 200 yards of a dk-weight animal fiber for best results. (Pictured: Argosy Luxury Yarns Zen 4 Ply in Deborah – DK, 1 skein / 55g / 200 yards, 100% cashmere)
Supplies:
- US size 5 16-inch circular needle
- 4 US size 5 double-pointed needles
- US size 5 cable needle or other cabling method of your choice
- end of round marker (optional)
- tapestry needle
Gauge: 4 inches = 21 sts / 34 rows in stockinette
Sizing: Finished hat will measure approximately 19” in circumference when laid flat. It should stretch to fit most adult women.
