This is a fun, frilly, slouchy hat with a really cool X pattern around the edge. Because it uses a size J hook for the bulk of the pattern, it makes up really quick. I provide detailed pictures with the instructions to do the X in the edging.

This pattern is written for sizes 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 3 years-8 years, 8 years to small adult, and large adult.

I have found that everyone has a different definition of “slouchy.” If you find the hat isn’t as slouchy as you want it to be, all you have to do is add a couple of rounds after Round 7, and it will add length and slouchiness.
