This gorgeous snood was first released ready made in 2010 and was a best seller.

I have one of my own, which I love to bits for the following reasons:

a. the baby alpaca yarn is THE best yarn to have around your neck as it is not itchy and is super soft and comfortable against your skin.

b. Baby alpaca yarn is THE warmest yarn (I prefer it even to cashmere).

c. The simple overall crossed stitch and rib pattern creates interest for the eye, as well as giving the garment the perfect drape and heaviness.

d. It is seamless so whatever you do with it on, it never works its way around the to ‘wrong’ side. All sides are the same!

e. It is so much easier to wear than a scarf. You’ve not got to keep flicking the ends back over your shoulder, or fiddle with tucking it into your coat. Its just there, always the same, keeping you warm!

It is a simple and quick knit in DK, using a circular 4mm needle. You do not even need experience of doing cable, as the stitches are crossed without a cable needle.

You will not regret knitting this!
