Two patterns in one!

Elegance Shawl is a crescent-shaped shawl with the option of including a hump (fingering weight version) or minimizing the hump (DK weight version). The fingering weight version is more of a shawlette but could be made larger if more yarn is used. The pattern uses a lot of basic stockinette and an increase in stitch count by six stitches every two rows to obtain the crescent shape. Border of shawl is garter stitch.

This pattern was written for BzyPeach Tencel Yarn in both fingering weight and DK weight. Tencel yarn holds its shape and is not very elastic. This is good for blocking in that blocking is done mainly to even out stitches. The fabric Tencel creates will be open and airy as you are knitting, but once blocked, the stitches come together to make a lovely, smooth stockinette fabric with a whimsical feel.
