These Fair Isle gloves are perfect for wearing in the city or the
country. They are knitted in Jamieson & Smith 2ply jumper weight yarn, the equivalent of a standard 4 ply.
Elegant yet practical these gloves are slightly longer than normal to prevent unsightly gaps appearing between the gloves and your coat cuff.
The design incorporates two distinct yet complementary fair isle patterns knitted on the same row. Due to the nature of the pattern on the palm of these gloves, they are knitted flat on straight needles rather than on DPNs, with a side seam. If
preferred, the fingers and thumb can be knitted in the
round on DPNs without any difficulty.

This pattern is part of my Vintage Gifts to Knits booklet which is available now either as an e-book or as a printed booklet or the patterns can be purchased individually as PDFs via ravelry.
