I discovered woven crochet a year ago and was captivated by the beautiful variation of patterns you can achieve with this double-sided fabric. It starts with a simple concept of basic filet crochet woven with another filet grid in a different color. By stitching in front of or in back of the other color, the design is created. While this pattern will keep you on your toes, you’ll be charmed as the design comes to life.

The lace work adds a lightness and the Rustic Silk drapes beautifully after blocking. I used a dk weight linen for added contrast. It also looks great in the tone-on-tone version that my tester came up with. (Thanks Gail; you’re awesome!)

This is for breezy spring and summer evenings when your shoulders get cold. Buttons sewn back to back, or a simple shawl pin amp up the style.

Enjoy!
