Elegize uses a growing checkerboard lace pattern to create an asymmetric triangular shaped shawl with sawtooth edges on 2 sides. It begins with a 5 stitch cast on and grows from there. The lace patern looks complicated, but after a few repeats, it becomes a very rythmic knit.

Short rows are used in the bind off to created a final sawtooth edge that matches the growing side of the shawl.

The pattern is both charted and written and can easily be adapted to any amount of yarn.
