Hi! I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m taking a break from managing my
Ravelry Patterns and store. I’ve put all the patterns in “inactive” mode. If you have any questions about patterns you have purchased please direct message me. I will be checking messages occasionally and will try and provide support. The links to my free patterns still work through my blog. Thank you!

This pattern was inspired by two things, a “design a cowl” challenge at work and the TV show, Elementary. Watson is always wearing such lovely knitwear!

I love patterns that are easy to knit, ie. I can watch Elementary while I knit, and also look beautiful. This pattern fits my criteria perfectly. As a matter of fact, I’ve knit 11 of these cowls already, and I’m already planning another! (If you check out the pattern project page you can see some of the other versions)

The pattern is written for a long cowl that you can wear long or doubled around your neck, with directions for a worsted weight version and a bulky weight version. I’ve also knit a short 20” cowl with the leftovers of the Rowan Lima and Cascade Eco Cloud.

Feel free to message me if you buy the pattern and want the short cowl numbers too!

The pattern takes about 300yds, for both weights. Many of the versions I’ve knit are knit with yarn that has a chainette construction making the cowl feel like you are wearing a soft cloud.

If you have any questions you can contact me at ms_ellaneous@charter.net or message me on Ravelry. I check regularly!
