Elephant Hats
Aren’t elephants the best creatures on Earth?
These two stranded picture hats depict an elephant at sunset in four colors fingering weight yarn and another one at sunrise in four colors of DK. A stranded swatch is recommended to determine what adjustments may be needed to fit the measured head size. 30- 35 grams of background colors are used, less for the elephant and sun.
Corrugated ribbing is a nice enhancement. Most of the hat body is done in two-color stranding with only a few rows requiring three colors. For best results, use yarn of the same type throughout.
I love this hat. Can’t wait for winter!
