I haven’t knit this chart, but it’s plugged into my basic Tam pattern (also posted here on Ravelry, from my blog). It’s not really an official pattern, but it should work, and I thought I’d share it with Ravelry.

The tam is sized for adults, but if you want to make it child-size, drop down to Size 5 needles, and eliminate about 8 rnds from Chart 1 (the upper and lower checkerboard borders).

Update:
I have now knitted this pattern, and it turned out well, using Cascade 220 Quatro yarns for a child size. I’ll upload that version separately.
