This blanket parades 3 BIG elephants and one Baby elephant across each end of the blanket. The pattern is designed with the elephants feet pointing towards the edge, so there is no top or bottom. Either edge can be used as the top.

Knitting an upside down pattern is a little disconcerting, but the pattern includes line by line stitch counts as well as a reference graphs for each design.

The pattern also includes the stitch and row modification should you need to knit only BIG elephants (5 across), or baby elephants (6 across). I used DK weight yarn on a size 5 needle when I knit a 6 baby elephant version.
