This is my favorite design to date. I truly enjoyed creating and seeing it come to life. I was inspired to design this hat when making a Santa Claus newborn set for a customer. I figured I couldn’t design a Santa Hat without designing an Elf Hat too. The 3D Pointy Ears are my favorite part about this pattern. If you look closely to some of the photos, you will see that we added our own earrings to the ears. It was an excellent touch that made them seem even more real. They are for an advanced beginner, but I have plenty of photo tutorials to help any crocheter along the way. If you are hesitant to make the ears, the hat is still adorable without them. It looks great in any color as well. I made one for my niece in solid green without anything on the tail to be a Link hat from The Legend of Zelda. This pattern also includes instructions for doll sizes so that your little one can match her doll as well. How fun is that?

I have included in this pattern several photo tutorials.
