The Lord of Rivendell and father to Arwen, Elrond (“Star-dome”) is a Half-Elf and ruler of the Eldar Elves. A member of the White Council and longtime friend of Gandalf, he fought alongside Men at the Battle of Dagorlad. Though victorious in battle, he witnessed firsthand Isildur’s failure to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom, and the effects that had on Middle-Earth in the aftermath. Though many years passed, he remained focused on the defeat of Sauron, calling together the races and forming the Fellowship of the Ring, tasking them with the responsibility of finally destroying it once and for all.

Inspired by the sharp angles and scroll designs of Elrond’s Elven armor, this matching hat and fingerless mitts set embodies the strength and beauty of the Elves. Knit in the round from the cuff to the fingertips with a twisted rib pattern all the way around until the palm, the fingerless mitts maintain incredible stretch. The palms are knit in stockinette to provide a smoother and more snug fit. The reversible hat is worked in the round from the brim up through the crown decreases. No cable needles are required—the traveling lines are faux cables made with strategically placed increases and decreases.
