Elion was inspired by the beautiful variety of indie yarn styles + colors and designed especially for Yarn Revolution.

Size
Easily customizable based on yarn weight and yardage.
Pattern samples are 116” wingspan x 72” deep (295 x 63 cm) in sock weight and 102” w x 23” d (260 x 58 cm) in DK weight.

Yarn + Gauge
Sock / Fingering weight, 900 yds (825 m)
22 sts & 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern after blocking using US 2½-5 (3-3.75mm).
Shown in NanoStitch Lab Scientific Sock in 5 minis (92 yds / 20 g) plus 1 full (463 yds / 100 g) skein.

DK weight, 700 yds (640 m)
16 sts & 23 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern after blocking using US 6-9 (4-5.5 mm).
Shown in grist creative maverick (238 yds / 100 g) in natural white, 3 skeins.

Gauge is not critical for this project but a different gauge will yield a different size and have different yarn requirements. Since this pattern was designed to showcase a variety of yarn weights from lace to aran, a range of yardages from one skein to multiple skeins, and a variety of yarn styles, knitters should use a needle size and gauge that gives a pleasing fabric.

Skills/Techniques
Knit, purl, increase, decrease. Suitable for adventurous beginner or social/tv knitting. The pattern is charted and fully written.
