This cowl is named for my baby sister. It shares some of her attributes: warmth, structure, and grace to name a few.

It is a deceptively simple knit that only requires knit and purl, but the fabric the simple stitches creates is nothing short of stunning. Both sides are beautiful with one side appearing as rows of little pearls and the other appearing as dainty texture.

“Happy Birthday, dearest little sister. I am proud of the woman you are, and the choices you make, and your unwavering devotion to the essence of you. You are gorgeous, and you are tough, and I’d love to be a little more like you…you who are beautiful and delicate in appearance but wickedly warm and sturdily structured. I love you. Always have. Always will.”
