Elliott is a delicate and weightless shawl which is knit in a classic triangular shape. The knitting starts at the top of the shawl with a few cast-on stitches and is shaped with increases in the most commonly used rate to form a balanced triangle.

The shawl is knit in a light fingering weight yarn using two colours. For the contrast colour you can use more than one colour, if you prefer, or use gradient or self striping yarn. It is worked in stripes/sections of garter stitch pattern and two-colour eyelet stitch pattern. The width of stripes is based on Fibonacci number sequence. It is an easy colour-work in which only one colour per row is used.
