A quick and easy to knit large shawl. Very cozy in DK weight yarn knit on relatively thick needles. The shawl starts at the top middle by casting on a few stitches, it grows sideways and downwards as you knit by strategically placed increases and ends up with a triangular shape. The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters, a photo tutorial is included for how to attach the fringe.

The size of the shawl is approximately 180 cm wide by 85 cm tall (71 by 33 in), not including the fringe. The size can easily be adjusted by doing less or more repeats of the garter and lace sections.

Yarn requirements:
DK weight yarn in two contrasting colours, 230 m (250 yds) of each colour.
Optional: additional yarn for fringe, amount depending on width and density chosen for your fringe (estimate 40-90 m / 50-100 yards).
