Elven Lace Tunic
Wanted to have some lace in sweater, but also wanted warmth for the cold Colorado winters - so combined the two and came up with this one. Around that time, I watched the trilogy of the “Lord of the Rings” and got more inspirations from the elegant dresses in Rivendell. The lace uses leaf motif, and there is a fun cabling pattern at the top.
Here are the dimensions of this sweater.
Chest: 29” (31” / 35” / 39” / 44”/48”) for XS (S/M/L/XL/XXL)
Length: 27” (27” / 28” / 29.5”/ 31.5”/ 32”) for XS (S/M/L/XL/XXL) – last 2” is lace
Materials:
Color A: 700 (780 / 850 / 1000 / 1200 / 1400) yard of DK weight yarn (cabled top)
Color B: 220 (220 / 300 / 380 / 460 / 580) yard of DK weight yarn (lacy part)
In the photo, I have used Valley yarns Deerfield color “Colonial Blue” for Color A (7 skeins), and “Stone Blue” for Color B (2 skeins). (That is for XS size)
- US 6(4.25mm) circular needle for the main body

Intermediate skills (cabling, increase, decrease, etc.)
Errata: 10/31/2013 - Cast on for the yoke should be: 44(46/54/64/80/84), fixed yarn requirement for L, XL, added XXL size, and updated the pattern PDF (should be v1.1)
