Exquisite Rivendell is home to the Half-Elves west of the Misty Mountains. Settled by Elrond after the War of Sauron and Elves, he created a stronghold to protect the Elves from the siege. Perched in a valley with flowing waterfalls, trees, the Hall of Fire, and many members of Elven royalty, it became a refuge of education and peace, eventually becoming the meeting place of the Council of Elrond where the Fellowship is formed.

As timeless as Middle-Earth, this lace cloak fit for Elven royalty is a must knit for any Lord of the Rings fan! Beginning at the bottom edge, a lace border is worked flat, then moves into a larger lace motif. With decreases cleverly hidden within the stockinette, an eyelet row is worked before moving into the hood. Instructions are also given for an oversized, more mysterious hood. No hood? No problem! Simply omit and bind off.
