Size: 8-10 (finished chest measurement 78 cm)

Yarn required: 2 skeins Baby og Hosegarn, 3 skeins Drops Delight, less than one skein Drops Cotton Viscose, small amount of glitter thread if desired.

Gauge: 30 sts and 43 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch with Baby og Hosegarn; 26 sts = 10 cm in seafoam pattern with Drops Delight.

Needles: 3 mm circulars (40-60 cm) for the body, 3.5 mm needles for the sleeves - two circulars or DPNs. And a crochet hook for neck finishing; not sure what size I used.

Elwing is a top-down seamless sweater that will look lovely on any little girl. And since it’s knit with sock yarn, it’s machine washable.

This sweater was inspired by the charaster Elwing from the Silmarillion, and incorporates elements from her story: the sea, the stars and a seabird’s wings.
