This is a PATTERN for crochet only, designed to help you make your very own Ember the Phoenix.

All patterns are written in English, in US terms, using Craft Yarn Council abbreviations.

The phoenix is a beautiful mythical creature representing revival and rebirth. The fire bird bursts into flames and rises from the ashes anew. Sometimes we all need a reminder that we too can rise from the ashes.

Ember the Phoenix pattern 2.0 is designed to be easy to read. Whether you are a confident beginner or an expert plushy artist, this pattern come equipped with everything you need to succeed. When you are finished with your project you will have learned new and useful skills for your art form and created a beautiful piece to cherish.

You Need to Know: chains (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), back loops only (BLO), front loops only (FLO), increases and decreases, mattress stitch sewing. Be eager to learn and ready to have fun!

You Will Practice Advanced Techniques:
 How to use pins to perfectly place and attach amigurumi parts
 How to make no-sew feathers integrated right into the amigurumi
 How to merge and branch parts with several branches
 How to layer feathers on one-piece wings
 How to use wires to make multi-dimensional open wings

Supplies
• Red Heart Super Saver yarn, 100% acrylic, worsted weight, 364 yds/7 oz/198 g, Cherry Red (RED), 1 ball; Pumpkin (PUM), 1 ball; Gold (GOLD), 1 ball; Bright Yellow (YEL), 1 ball.
• G (4.00 mm) hook
• Two 15mm colored round-pupil safety eyes
• 14 gauge coated solid copper wire, cut into two 15” inch pieces, the ends folded and pinched to prevent sharp points
• Polyfil stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Straight pins

Measurements
11” tall x 15” wing span. Tail is 15” long.
